Post Alumni Meet Update

We have just finished one of the most memorable Alumni Meet’s ever held till date.
It was one saga of LOVE of Bhagawan which all of us experienced at Parthi.
As earlier informed, Swami had been waiting for the boys to come. HE was informing all around HIM that HIS boys would be coming in numbers and would give a good programme. Swami took over the reins of the meet as early as 17th Dec, while last year we were still giving letters to Swami on 19th Dec to Swami regarding the meet. Swami started organizing the accommodation for the boys and their families from 17th Dec onwards. HE personally went to check the ATP womens hostel to verify its suitability for the women family members. Bro.Satyajit was sent umpteen number of times to inspect double decker building and the ATP hostel to get them both into a good condition so that boys and their families are comfortable. (This year the oversea’s devotees for the Christmas celebrations were highest in number at about 8,000+. Never in the past did this kind of foreign devotees came to Parthi for one single festival. So accommodation was naturally under squeeze. More over all these devotees stayed till first week of January 2010).

Grama Seva went on well. Statistics are as follows : 1) Balvikas – 300 children attended, sports items distributed to them along with Sai Protein 2) Narayana Seva – Over 1000 people served 3) Homeopathy - 201 patients treated 4) Vet nary Camp – 92 cattle, 1157 sheep treated 5) Employment Opportunity – 927 applications screened. The same evening the details in the form of a card were sent to Swami.

Swami gave permission for bhajan boys to sing morning bhajans on 31st Dec 2009, 1st & 2nd Jan 2010.
Mandir decoration with flowers was done well and was looking beautiful with a difference from the earlier decorations. Swami seem to be pleased with the decoration, as HE came for dharshan HE went on looking at the decoration and seem to have mentioned about the decoration inside the Yajur mandir.
Evening Session : A drama by name “Ideya Prema Bandham’ was staged by our younger team. Most of them are from Bangalore and few others are from various other places. This drama was a real high light of our meet. The boys worked hard and rehearsed well in advance and lot of corrections were done during rehearsals sessions by our senior brothers. This is a story of a student by name Kartik who studied in Swami’s university and his experiences with Swami, and how Swami used to take care of each of his needs and rescues him from near death experience. There were about 6-7 scenes where in each episode brings in a new dimension of Swami’s Love and Concern for HIS boys. Basically the gods in the heaven (Lord Vinayaka, Narada Muni, Yama etc would be discussing about the good fortune of the boys and then as they discuss the scene unfolds on how Kartik goes through each of the experiences in Swami’s fold. In fact Yama say’s in one of the scenes that he goes to the hostel to pick up the life of the boy as he lay on the sick bed in the sick room suffering from severe asthama attack, but just then another boys walks in and says that Swami had called him to mandir. Kartik gets up musters some energy and rushes to mandir and there Swami was waiting for him. Swami takes him into the interview room and after 30min Kartik walks out completely recovered. Yama says that he did not make the mistake of throwing his rope against the neck of Kartik as he did in the case of Markandeya and incurred the warth of Lord Siva. Here again he escapes Lord Sai Siva’s warth by not throwing his rope).
Swami was very pleased and happy with the drama. HE took photographs with the actors and spoke to them. 1st Jan 2010
Morning Session : Present boys gave a fantastic programme. Band group played about 4 songs and the music boys sang very well.
Evening was the Alumni turn. The procession went on very well, starting from Yajur mandir to Sai Kulwant hall. All the devotees were thrilled at the procession. It had some different uniqueness in itself. It was like they were escorting a MAHARAJA to his Durbar.
Rest of the programme followed with band boys taking the lead, then some talks by the boys and then the solo songs by the music boys. After the 2nd song, Swami stopped the music programme (there were 14 or 15 songs prepared for the programme) and wanted couple of bhajans to be sung and then closed the day. By then Swami already sat for one and half hours in the Sai Kulwant Hall.
Later that day Swami commented that morning programme presented by the present students was good and was different. With no comments on the evening programme, except that old boys have grown in age and their voices have changed. Better go for the group songs.
2nd Jan 2010
Swami sent word at around 10.30 am that HE would like to interact with all the boys and their families in the PC auditorium in the evening.
Over 3,500 people were seated in the auditorium filling it near to the brim (including students, their families and their children). Students present were 1283 in number.
As Swami came in, HE was very happy looking at all of the students and their families. One could see a Tinkle in HIS eyes and happiness all over.
Two speakers spoke to the boys with Swami’s permission.
Prof.G.Venkataraman – Spoke about Swami’s Service activities like Super Speciality hospitals giving free medical treatment and water projects and helping the flood hit people in Orissa. The message was that even the Avatar (irrespective of HIS age) does the service to the poor by taking up various activities which impact the societies in a very positive manner. He showed various clippings on the screen showing various projects of Swami. The message was clear to the boys that we need to emulate Swami. We need to dive deep into the service activities and make our lives sanctified.
Sri.Srinivasan, All India President – Spoke about how few boys have already taken up the positions in the organization and how they were serving. He pitched for more boys to join the organization and serve Swami. He went on to say that during Swami’s 85th birthday celebrations he would like to step aside and wished that one of the Sai Student should take over his position to run the whole organization.
Later group after group from each city/country went up to Swami to show their service activities (albums & photos) to Swami.
For more than 40 min Swami patiently went through the reports shown by each of groups, while taking photographs with them.
The most important thing which came out during this session was that Swami spoke to lot of boys who went up to HIM and Blessed them with HIS hand on their head. Swami even went on to resolve personal problems of each of the boys who spoke to HIM. Swami assured some, that HE had taken over their problems and for some others students HE enquired about their parents and said that their parents were doing lot of seva and that HE would take care of them. Blessings and assurances flowed down to all. Most of them in tears after Swami’s interaction. And for some other student HE assured that he had granted moksha to one of his family members. The LOVE was flowing.
Then Swami wanted to go between the lines. Immediately boys moved and Swami went through the boys through various lines. During this time boys sang group songs reverberating the auditorium.
Finally after over 2 hrs of interaction programme, Swami left the auditorium at about 7.30 pm to give dharshan as the bhajans were being sung since 5.00pm in the Sai Kulwant hall. Though Swami appeared tired, HE went through the full round in Sai Kulwant hall giving dharshan to all and then took aarathi.
3rd Jan 2010
Evening Session : Swami came for dharshan and sat on the dais at Sai Kulwant hall. HE saw some space empty in front of HIM as some of the present boys were practicing in the stadium for the sports meet. Immediately Swami sent one of HIS boys to check how many old students were sill there. We said over 400. Swami then immediately asked all the old students to come and fill up the gaps in front of HIM sitting along with the present students. (Swami said about 2 2yrs back that HE does not have any difference between present and old students). All the while bhajans were going on. Swami stopped the bhajans being sung by the present boys. Asked the ld boys to come front and sing the bhajans. What a Blessing. In the wildest of our imaginations this may not be possible. Swami looked very pleased with the boys and their bhajans. Swami called bro.Ajnish to the dais and created a gold chain for him. This is a blessing for all the students alumni. When the bhajans ended Swami lifted both of HIS hands and Blessed all the students and their families.
Over all while with all our short comings, Swami was very happy looking at so many boys, and many of them who came from far of countries with their families to have Swami’s dharshan. Students from 1969 to recently passed out (2009) have come. What a cross section of boys!. It was also a delight to see some of those old students from the earlier batches, all seated together in front of Swami.
Though a chronology of events were put down here, the LOVE showered by Swami was immeasurable. There are no words to describe Swami’s LOVE but only can be experienced.
